We are proud to be the sponsor for the Big Dollar Rescue Campaign – a charity campaign that shows the rescuing power of our Singapore dollar! We don’t have to give a lot, to give a lot to suffering children in times of emergency.
Our capsule toy machines were transformed into awesome Miracle Machines for this campaign. 100% of funds collected through these machines goes towards Save The Children charity.
How it works:
1. There are 2 compartments in each machine. One collects funds for Save the Children’s Typhoon Haiyan Children’s Relief Fund, and the other for Save the Children’s Syrian Children’s Relief Fund.
2. Each time any compartment empties, the machine raises the exact amount needed to create a miracle for children in Syria or the Philippines. For example, if a compartment contains 5 capsules that cost $2 each, when it empties out, just enough money would have been raised to provide life-saving diarrhoea treatment for 16 children in the Philippines (S$10).
In total, 8 of our capsule toy machines were placed at 4 different schools, NUS, NTU, SMU, and Ngee Ann Poly, during this 1 month campaign (Feb 2014 – Mar 2014).
